Hadi Clinic, the First Hospital in Kuwait to Introduce the DAISY Award:

Celebrating Nursing Excellence

In a groundbreaking event, Hadi Clinic has proudly become the first hospital in Kuwait to introduce the DAISY Award, honoring outstanding nurses. The ceremony recognized the exceptional contributions of nurses from various departments, with the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Al-Sayed, the hospital's Medical Director, Ms. Futooh Suleiman, the Head of Nursing, and several nursing staff and department heads.

The nurses were honored after being nominated for the DAISY Award, which recognizes exceptional nurses based on criteria for outstanding nursing care. This international award celebrates the extraordinary clinical skills and compassionate care provided by nurses to patients and their families.

Dr. Mahmoud Al-Sayed highlighted that the award aims to underscore the critical role of nursing in healthcare and to appreciate the heroic efforts of nurses in alleviating patients' suffering and providing exceptional care. He noted that the award also seeks to improve performance levels and enhance the nursing sector by supporting and motivating nursing staff.

The DAISY Foundation Award was established in the United States by the family of Patrick Barnes to honor the exceptional care he received from nurses during his illness. Inspired by this recognition, Hadi Clinic has decided to honor and encourage its own nursing team.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the honored nurses expressed their gratitude and appreciation to Hadi Clinic’s management for its continuous support of the nursing staff. They affirmed that this recognition would motivate them to continue their dedicated service to patients and wished all patients a speedy recovery.
