Introduction

Hadi Clinic aims to provide you with the optimum care you need, as prescribed or recommended by those who are treating you. We would like you to know what your rights are as a patient and what your obligations and responsibilities are to yourself, your physician and the hospital. We encourage you to talk openly with those involved in your care.

You Have the Right to:

  1. Be respected as an individual with unique healthcare needs
  2. Know and see the treating Physician or Surgeon within a reasonable time of admission.
  3. Know, in a language you understand, all information about your condition, your care and the reasons for all investigations, diagnostic procedures and the charges made to your account.
  4. Be informed about the outcomes of care, treatment and services including unanticipated outcomes
  5. Be informed about and consent on treatment decision
  6. Accept or to refuse to sign a consent for any operative or diagnostic procedure
  7. Confidentiality of information regarding your condition.
  8. Have a comfortable stay
    • With pain managed appropriately.
    • Free from verbal or physical abuse or harassment
    • In a culturally respectful environment
  9. Complain appropriately either verbally or in writing
  10. Obtain any information or documents, such as a Medical Report or Sick Leave form, as documented in your medical chart.

It is Your Responsibility to:

  1. Know and follow the Laws of Kuwait.
  2. Follow the Rules and Regulations of the Hadi Clinic.
  3. Be honest about and provide complete and accurate information about your health.
  4. Actively participate in decisions about your healthcare
  5. Ask questions
  6. Cooperate, plans and instructions for care you have agreed on with our medical team, and accept consequences if plan is not followed.
  7. Avoid damage to hospital and other persons’ property.
  8. Accept and pay all financial obligations associated with your care, as per the invoice provided to you.
  9. Notify your Physician or the Head Nurse if you do not understand your diagnosis, treatment or prognosis
  10. To treat the Homecare staff with dignity and respect, and without any discrimination.

Your Family is Responsible for:

  1. Being available to participate in the decision making regarding your health as well as to protect hospital property.
